Understanding your quote
Once you’re happy with the design of your packaging, we will put together a quote which takes into account quantity, material usage, print finishes and delivery requirements. Prices will be per unit, and if you’ve asked for prices for more than one quantity you will see that price per unit decreases the larger the production run.
For each job there might be number of set up charges, which will be payable on your first order only. If you wish to reorder we can reuse these elements. These might be:
Tooling – in order to cut out your design, we need a cutting forme. This is a physical forme which is made especially for you, and the price will be dependent on the size and complexity of your design.
Origination – most, but not all, printing methods incur a cost for setting up the artwork you have provided for production and includes any screens or plates that have to be produced, together with a proof. Again this is a one-off cost so providing there are no changes to your artwork this charge would not apply for a repeat order. Always be careful to check your artwork thoroughly before supplying. Even the need to change a tiny part of the artwork once the project is proofed can result in additional costs.
Finally, delivery will be quoted to your required address. Delivery is usually on pallets, and will cover you for kerb drop off. If you don’t have access to a forklift for off-loading, or have specific delivery requirements or constraints let us know as early as possible so we are able to give you an accurate quote upfront.
